Cash Boost for Local Group

St Cuthbert Wanderers Football Club youth section received £2000 funding support from Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership’s Community Pride Fund.

The section received the money to purchase and build a storage area for all the coaching equipment that is used by the youth football teams.

The Stewartry DGHP District Management Committee (DMC) vice chair, Pat McTaggart, presented the under-9s section with their cheque at a recent training session in Kirkcudbright. Pat said: “The Stewartry DMC was keen to support youth activities in the area and I was delighted when the youngsters said thank you to DGHP for the support.”

Andy Durham, one of the youth coaches, added: “With the support from DGHP’s Community Pride Fund we can now get a much needed storage area for the youth teams equipment.”
